Thank God for Dr Ong! My mom found a lump in her breast back in January and at that time we did not know what to do. After reading many good reviews and did a little research, we were so glad we chose Dr Ong. From the first consultation to the surgery to the recovery everything went smooth and well. His staff was extremely friendly and kind too. Not only Dr Ong is an exceptional doctor but he has a good heart who only wants to do what is right for their patients. The level of calmness and excellent knowledge gave my mom and family a lot of courage and confidence during that stressful time. We really appreciate that personal side of him given that he has many other patients under him. Thank you for all the support Dr Ong and the team.

If anyone has to walk the path of a breast cancer journey, you would very truly only want to be in the excellent hands and care of Dr. Ong. Words can’t ever be enough to express how thankful, grateful and blessed I am to have been referred to Dr. Ong. Apart from the big things, it’s the little things he does that makes a great difference to a patient. Before my operation, he was there with a warm greeting and his familiar voice gave me great comfort. Like a good parent, he won’t settle for a job half done by you when it comes to regaining your mobility and I am thankful for that because he truly wants you to be your best self!

Beyond the physical hurdles one has to cross, Dr. Ong more than innately understands the mental hurdles of a patient very well. He gets it without you having to utter a word at times and shows it with warmth, genuine compassion and care. If you can picture a doctor cheering you on in your corner of the ring, that would be none other than our very special and much loved human being of a person, Dr. Ong.

I had six months of false-negative diagnoses of breast cancer (mammogram, ultrasound, ultrasound with two core biopsies, ultrasound and MRI scan) in Australia, then visited Dr Ong two weeks after the last scan. I had an ultrasound and vacuum biopsy on the same day as my initial appointment that confirmed breast cancer a week later. I chose a double mastectomy with immediate implants that gave excellent cosmetic results. Dr Ong suggested an Oncotype dx gene test on the tumour that returned a result of a very low risk of recurrence, saving me from chemotherapy.
Throughout my two years of follow-up surveillance with Dr Ong I found him positive, sensitive, practical, knowledgeable, informative and always available.
I will be returning to visit Dr Ong every year from Australia for follow-up appointments.
