I will never forget the day I happen to land up at Dr Ong’s clinic eight years ago. I am so thankful for our chance meeting! As a lone expat in Singapore, with no knowledge on how to navigate the health system, I was very scared, & confused as to how to handle my sudden diagnosis of aggressive DCIS in my right breast. Dr Ong was extremely attentive, informative, patient & opened my eyes to the different options available to me. Although Dr Ong’s clinic was always, and still is, extremely busy, he always had time for me and gave me his utmost attention. It was a very difficult period with decisions having to be made so quickly, as it as not possible to save my right breast. However, without Dr Ong’s amazing support, knowledge and experience in breast reconstruction, I would not be where I am today – fit, healthy and climbing the mountains! Until today, he still has time for me and supports whenever needed.
